This is a slight deviation of our regular upma.. which our kids hate to eat. I tried this recipe and my hubby n daughter who hate upma love to eat this..
Ingredients:
Rava upma (prepared in our usual method)
coconut / carrot / coriander - optional
Method :
Prepare upma with onion. Upma should not be too non sticky. It should be little binded so that adai turns out well without breaking.
Add grated carrot or coconut and coriander leaves to taste. Make small balls with this mix by greasing your hands with little ghee and flatten them. To bring to a perfect shape, you can use back side of any lid. Ghee gives a rich flavour to the adai.
Heat in a low flame tawa and pour oil around it. Turn around and cook till it turns golden brown.
Goes well with coconut chutney or pudina thuvaiyal.
