Women's expectation of marriage

It’s a real pity that most women go into marriage not understanding what  to expect.  I think the real sad thing for women is - men dream of marriage whereas many women dream only of the wedding. We think we are going to find Prince Charming and then live  a life of unremitting romance. We dream we are going to be charmed as Ms Princes in the fairy tales we read from childhood.  Instead, we end up spending a lot of  our time picking up wet towels off the bed and newspapers spread all over the sofas. 

No one tells you that’s going to happen –  although it’s not a bad life if your expectations are in line.   No one tells you that marriage run in routines.  There are bad times and good ones too. If you’re patient and try to tune in the melody of the man you marry.. the good times come around again.

If you have daughters, don’t pamper them too much. Put strict limits on material things; give them plenty of chores to do and encourage them to take up a stand on individuality and self pride. There’s much more to life than being a pretty little princess; brains, accountability, and self-reliance will serve them better in this life.
