All in a day

Cool breeze surrounded me as I woke up reluctantly from the bed. It is December now and mornings are pretty cold. I would love to cuddle myself in the comforter or hug my husband and daughter and go for a warm sleep in the dawn time. But already time was 6 o clock and I realised that I would be late. To get up or not is a constant debate in which I will always lose time :) I gave up and was on my feet.

The morning clock was running as usual. Breakfast, lunch, snacks for my kid, getting her ready, dumping the breakfast into her mouth, urging her to put on her shoes, put her in the school van, checking the clock in between... huh! got into the bathroom for a hot shower when I realised that it had been very long since I took a break. There was not much of fun involved. The idea flashed in me and hurried dressing up and went to talk to my hubby..



just asked him directly.. 'it has been quite a long that we spent time for us.. isnt it?'

he just looked at me putting a quizzical look

'we two are having the same routines.. daily chores, office, house, TVs to watch, cooking, cleaning, blah blah blah. why dont we take a break today?'

he was irritated a bit 'what are you upto today?'

'oh nothing... why dont we try bunking our office??' it was me..

'but...'

'no ifs and buts.. today is our day. let us not inform anyone and go out like secret lovers'

'haa...??'.. just then a smile came into this face..

'yes let us bunk our sessions for today and have fun'

'do i have a choice??'

'no dear.. we are taking a break.. this is my lovable order'.

We called, our bosses for an off.. and started out without informing anyone else. I then turned off the mobile phones.

I carefully dumped the lunch into the fridge hoping we would have food outside and this serving will help for dinner. With a wide grin we two started out. We ignored the car and hopped onto the bike. Like a college lover I put on a duppatta around my head and disguised myself. I hugged him once we were out of our street. He too casually leaned on me and drove the bike. We sat very close to each other..

We didnt have a clear plan at all. We started to go over TNagar streets. We stopped by the Panagal park, I grabbed few cheap road side articles and jewels. I put them on immediately and showed him. Then we strolled through the Usman road back to our bike, talking sweet nothings. He bought me my favourite mango chunks while I gave him his fav tender coconuts. we held our hands tight - so that we do not get lost! .. just for fun :)

Then we went to Sathyam.. the show was still due. We had ample time to kill. So we set out to Landmark to kill the time. We ensured that we were not buying anything, inspite of the temptation. We had ice cream, juices and loads junk food. Then we had quick lunch happily standing in a corner and taking our own sweet time, eating and talking and making fun of each other. Then came back to satyam and watched the movie Enthiran - thalaivar rocks as usual!!!! we enjoyed the movie to the core.

At the end of the movie, we went to the all-time-favourite- the BEACH!! we sat down so close to each other that even the tsunami could not separate us.. I slowly leaned on him n forgot the whole world..

we thought we had enough and came back straight home. We then had the lunch-turned-out-to-be-dinner food and slept off happily.

knock knock... i could hear sound outside. My hubby was shouting on top of his voice 'what is the matter with you?? what the hell are you doing inside. its a long time you went inside. you are wasting time and water. are you not going to office?'

I realised that I was in the same bathroom, in the same position. cha.. everything was just dream. huh! But why dont I make it for real??? let me see. i just stepped out with the words.. 'it has been quite a long that we spent time for us.. isnt it?? '
